Suspended for "deceptive content."
Back on Google in October.

Metamorphosis Media is a video production company in Orlando, Florida. Its Google Business Profile was suspended on 12 August 2026 for "deceptive content." The business was real and nothing on the profile was invented. The problem was that, after a move from New Hampshire, the records Google could see no longer agreed with each other. We diagnosed it, prepared everything, and the profile was back live in October 2026, about a day and a half after the final submission went in.

Metamorphosis Media, Orlando, Florida

Metamorphosis Media makes films, commercials and social media video for businesses. The company started in New Hampshire and moved its base to Orlando, Florida. For a video company, the Google Business Profile is the shop window: it is where people searching for a videographer find the reviews, the work and the phone number.

On 12 August 2026 Google suspended the Orlando profile and gave the reason as "deceptive content." The owner, Navid Namazi, reached us on WhatsApp in late September after the profile had already been down for weeks.

The diagnosis

What was actually wrong

Google's notice only said "deceptive content." Reading the public record showed three separate problems, and all three came from the move.

An address Google does not accept

The Florida profile showed an address of a type Google does not treat as a place where a business can be found. For a business that serves clients at their own locations, that matters more than most owners realise. It is one of the most common reasons we see behind a "deceptive content" label.

A second profile from the old state

A profile from the New Hampshire years was still live. To Google, that looks like one business claiming two places at once, which is exactly the pattern its duplicate checks are built to catch.

Records telling different stories

The state business record and the main directory listings did not match each other or the profile. When Google reviews a case, it compares these sources. If they disagree, the review fails, however genuine the business is.

None of this was the owner trying to mislead anyone. It is what a normal move leaves behind. Google's guidelines for representing your business explain the rules each of these broke.

What this case teaches

Three things worth knowing

  1. "Deceptive content" rarely means someone lied. It is Google's label for a profile whose facts do not add up. The fix is to make the facts add up, not to argue that the business is honest.
  2. The profile is the last thing to fix, not the first. Google checks the profile against the outside world. Editing the profile while the outside world still says something else gives the reviewer the same contradiction again.
  3. Once the records agree, Google can move quickly. Weeks of waiting ended about a day and a half after a submission that left nothing for the reviewer to doubt.
The work

How the case was run

01 ยท Diagnose from the outside

Before asking the owner for anything, we read what Google can see: both profiles, the state business record, the main directories and the website. That is where the three problems above showed up.

02 ยท Make every record agree

We gave the owner an exact list of what to correct and where, each with its link, and checked every change once it was made. The old-state profile and the address issue were dealt with as part of this, so nothing contradicted the Florida business any more.

03 ยท Submit once, properly

Only when the records matched did the submission go to Google, with evidence chosen to answer the specific reason Google gave. The owner filed it from his own account, using what we prepared. He never shared a password.

04 ยท Live, then paid

The profile was back on Google in October 2026. Our fee was the standard $497, due only once the profile was live and verified. The whole case ran on WhatsApp and email, with no calls.

FAQ

Questions about this case

Why is this case study named when the others are not?

Because the owner said yes. We only name a client when they have agreed to it. Metamorphosis Media agreed, so this one carries the real business name. Our other case studies stay anonymized.

Can a profile suspended for "deceptive content" come back?

Yes, when the business is real and the records behind the profile can be made to agree with each other. "Deceptive content" is a broad label. In this case it was not about anything the owner wrote. It came from a business whose address, history and public listings told Google different stories.

Does moving a business to another state cause a suspension?

Moving does not, on its own. What causes trouble is what a move leaves behind: an old profile still live in the previous state, an address that Google does not accept for a business profile, and directory listings and state records that still show the old details. That combination is what we found here.

Did the owner have to give you his Google password?

No. He added us as a manager on the profile through Google's own interface, and he filed with Google from his own account using what we prepared. He kept full ownership the whole time.

How much did it cost?

Our standard reinstatement fee of $497, payable only once the profile was back and verified. Nothing was paid up front.

My profile is suspended too. What happens first?

Message us. We look at the public record first and tell you, in writing, what we think caused it and whether we think it can come back. You pay nothing until it is live.

Google's own page on suspended Business Profiles explains what a suspension is and how the review process works.
