Who we are

RZ Web Media is a digital marketing agency operating out of Brooklyn, NY and Kolkata, India. We provide local SEO, GMB optimization, web design, and digital marketing services to small businesses across the US, Canada, and India.

This privacy policy explains what data we collect when you use our website (rzwebmedia.com), why we collect it, and what we do with it.

What data we collect

We collect three categories of data:

1. Data you give us directly

When you fill out our contact form, request a free audit, or message us via WhatsApp or email, you give us:

• Your name
• Your email address
• Your phone number (if you provide it)
• Your business name and website (if you provide them)
• The message or request you submitted

We use this data to respond to you. That's it.

2. Analytics data

We use Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors use our site. These tools collect:

• Pages viewed and time on page
• General location (city / region, not precise address)
• Device type and browser
• Referring website (what brought you here)
• Mouse movement and click patterns (Microsoft Clarity heatmaps)

This data is anonymized and used in aggregate. We can't identify you personally from this data unless you also submit a form.

3. Server logs

Our web host (Hostinger) maintains server logs that include IP addresses, timestamps, and request URLs. These are standard hosting logs used for security and performance monitoring. Retained for typically 30 days.

What we don't do

• We don't sell your data. Not to advertisers, not to data brokers, not to anyone.
• We don't share your data with third parties except as needed to deliver our services (e.g., if you become a client, we may use your data to set up tracking on your business).
• We don't use creepy retargeting. No Facebook pixel chasing you around the web with our ads.
• We don't send unsolicited marketing emails. Submit a form, we respond. Don't submit a form, you don't hear from us.

Cookies

We use minimal cookies:

• Google Analytics cookies — anonymized, used to measure site usage
• Microsoft Clarity cookies — anonymized, used for heatmaps and session recordings
• WordPress session cookies — only if you log in (you don't unless you're an admin)

You can disable cookies in your browser without losing functionality on this site.

For GDPR-regulated visitors (EU/UK), these rights are explicitly protected. For US visitors in California, CCPA rights apply. For Canadian visitors, PIPEDA rights apply.

Data security

We use:

• HTTPS encryption across the entire site
• Strong WordPress security practices (no plugins, hardened login, restricted file permissions)
• Hostinger's server-level security measures
• Limited internal access — only relevant team members can see your data

Despite reasonable precautions, no online system is 100% secure. If a breach occurs that affects your data, we'll notify you within 72 hours as required.

Children's privacy

Our services are for businesses. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has submitted data through our forms, contact us and we'll delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy occasionally. When we do, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top. Significant changes will be highlighted in a banner on the site for at least 30 days after the change.
